One of the major problems for anyone attempting to lose weight is hunger pangs. What is more, these 'pangs' can quickly become so intense they are almost akin to an all-consuming need; at this point, pangs become cravings. Cravings are the dieters worst enemy, when you suddenly find yourself wanting a food stuff so much you would possibly sell your soul for it. The desire is absolute and total, and even if you sit tight and reassure yourself that soon this desperate need will dissipate, the experience is something all those trying to lose weight will want to avoid.
There are various ways of keeping the hunger pangs and cravings away; the most obvious solution, of course, being to eat. However, this in itself has problems, and even if you eat sensibly to ensure hunger pangs do not start, you will still be ingesting more calories. So is there a way of keeping hunger pangs and cravings at bay without going over your daily calorie limit?
The answer is painfully simple: water. By drinking water, you will be able to 'fill up' your stomach, and hunger pangs and cravings will become a thing of the past. Even if you do not like the taste of water, one has to admit that a completely calorie-free way of dealing with hunger pangs is tempting.
Rather than drinking a lot of water when you have a craving, sip water throughout the day to try and keep hunger pangs away. If you do experience a craving, up your water intake. Over time, the cravings of old will indeed be a thing of the past.
